Yay weekend!

The bad part working within the commercial/IT business (I am a webdeveloper) is that you sometimes work over time. The past two weeks have been crazy, and last weekend I went across the country to pick up these cuties

"Frö"
Husky roan dumbo, 6 weeks old.

I am looking quite tired after a very long day and a total of 9 hours on the train

Me and Sot at the breeders place in Stockholm.

Today I have planned to work on a various number of horses, after I have picked up some of those tools and materials I posted about earlier.

Also, my regular camera is gone. Hubby gave me one for Christmas, a very metallic shiny blue one so I wouldn't loose it. Well I have... :/ It must be in the apartment, somewhere...

On the workbench!

Yesterday I worked on some horses. First out is a small SM Warmblood/TB which is a gift for a friend.
I have just given it a new mane, cleaned the seams and removed the logo. He will be painted in pastels to a ... uhm haven't decided yet ;)
Next I worked on a Johar that I cut into pieces more than a year ago. I used the "superglue and bakingsoda" method to attach the wire to her. Inspired by the blog "Don't eat the paint" I will continue to use painters tape to form a neck and a new tail. I don't think she will be an Arabian in the end, but a pony perhaps?

And last, my Hambletonian resin who arrived to me with multiple cracks in 3 of his legs. I had him removed from the base and have slowly begun to fix the cracks. I have also decided to hair prep him and when he's all done, he'll have a mohair mane/tail.

I have also found a perfect reference horse for his colour and markings.  "Marion Mad Money"

Tomorrow it's back to work and I don't think I have the time to work on modelhorseystuff until next weekend...

First Entry

This is my first entry in my model horse blog.  I have other blogs, but none that are dedicated to the hobby.  Here we go! :D
 ------------
I have body box, which is filled with horses and I have a plan! :) To dig my way trough the box during the spring. But if course, I *DO* have Miss Monster to take care of.

She is one of my first extreme customs that I've made with help from a friend. She has cracked even before she was finished and after she was finished.... So I have to start all over - again!

Other horses in the progress is this one! A CAM that have been in progress the last 2 years. But I hope she can finally be finished.

However I have a list of things I need to buy:
- more tools for my dremel. I lack certain cutting tools that are essential for model horse slaughter *muhaha*
- Airbrush for base coating models. A friend of mine recommended this one
http://www.artifolk.co.uk/catalog/products/airbrushes_and_compressors/simair_ab60a_airbrush_kit.htm I don't have the space for a larger airbrush to actually paint the horses with. Besides my idea is just to add a solid base coat, then use pastels/earth pigments :)
- Rubbing alcohol
- Larger tube of superglue.
- More sculpting tools

That's it for now! :)
